What They Didn’t Tell You

Psychedelics Expand the Boundaries of the Human Energy Field

You already know about the psychological expansion that occurs during sessions, but did you know that the client’s central nervous system is being influenced by energy systems that are not easily recognizable?

Psychedelic Medicines Open the Client and the Healing Space to Non-Linear Information

Did you know that when the client’s mind and energy bodies are expanded they may be susceptible to emotional and psychological influence by something other than their psychology?

What Influences Your Client May Influence You During and After the Session

You already know about transferrence and counter-transferrence and how to manage it, but do you know how to manage it from Non-Linear sources?

Why You Need to Know

You Need to Be Aware of Your Personal Energy Field

It’s not just the client that must be protected when using Sacred Medicine; the practitioner is also at risk. Learning to notice potential changes in your personal energy field is important to maintain a safe space.

You Need to Know What is in the Space With You

There are many different sources of interference besides the client’s psyche. Both the practitioner and the client must adhere to a pre-session protocol to support a psychically clean and safe session.

You Need to Claim Psychic/Energetic Authority

Do you know how to claim and create a safe ceremonial space to prevent harm to you as a practitioner? Acute awareness of your personal energy field is only the beginning.

You Need to Know What Developmental Tasks of the Soul Are and How They May Present

Most developmental tasks of the soul are directly related to normal human experience, but there are many more related to advanced psycho-spiritual growth. Sacred Medicine can initiate a client into these areas of growth.

Elizabeth Sabet CBC, ACSLC

Katrina Michelle, Ph.D., LCSW, is a ceremonial psychotherapist specializing in spiritual emergence and psychedelic integration. She is the founder/director of The Curious Spirit, a New York-based psychotherapy practice, former director of harm reduction at MAPS, and former executive director of The American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences (ACISTE). She lectures for the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and has taught at New York University Department of Applied Psychology, Columbia University Graduate School of Social Work, Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services, and The Institute for the Development of Human Arts.

Katrina is currently involved in conducting research exploring challenging psychedelic experiences with The Emergent Phenomenology Research Consortium, and is working on producing When Lightning Strikes Film, elucidating the often '"un/sexy" side of spiritual awakening. Informed by her academic research and her own transcendent experiences, Katrina supports people in exploring, embracing, and integrating the multifaceted human experience. Katrina is passionate about supporting emerging healers and helping professionals to bring their gifts into the world in service of creating a culture that catalyzes and supports our highest human potentials.

Elizabeth Sabet, Founder of The Institute for Transformational and Transpersonal Coaching, Creator of the SpiritPath Coaching Process, and Founding Director of HOPE - Holistic Options for People Everywhere, is dedicated to empowering Spirit and Soul-Centered individuals to take control of the direction of their lives and live in alignment with their highest calling in their careers, personal expression, and relationships.

Elizabeth is a Transformational, Transpersonal Life and Spiritual Integration Coach, coaching educator, psychic medium, and Spiritual Response Therapist. She was honored with the Honorary Intertribal Medicine Woman title and received her Medicine Shawl during a Sacred Feminine Dance Ceremony in January 2008.

She served as the President of the American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences (ACISTE) and has served experiencers and the mental health professionals that support them since 2013. She has organized local and national academic conferences for HOPE and ACISTE to support mental health professional training in Spiritual Emergence and Emergency. Elizabeth has provided over 1,000 hours of free local community activities to support people in spiritual, exploration, emergence, and awakening.

Katrina and Elizabeth worked together at the American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences - ACISTE - as Executive Director and President. Together, they organized academic conferences and began ACISTE’s YouTube channel to create community dialogue between experiencers and mental health professionals.

They have now come together to create dynamic professional training that supports the practitioner and those experiencing awakenings, spiritual emergence, and emergency experiences.

What People Say About Katrina and Elizabeth

“I took a second journey alone while in a foreign country. It was a "bad trip," and I wanted to reach out to Katrina afterward. Despite the time difference, Katrina made herself available to me and was supportive and helpful in discussing this journey. Her perspective on the trip was very helpful. She also had good suggestions as to how to best integrate this troubling experience. She encouraged me to reach out to her for any further support, and I have done just that. My husband and I recommend Katrina without any hesitation. We wish you a good journey,”

Nancy

“I have had the personal and professional privilege of knowing and collaborating with Elizabeth for the last several years. Her knowledge and experience with spiritual transformative experiences (STEs) are rooted in a powerful, intuitive gift. She is not only versed in the language of STEs and their meaning, purpose, or value, but also in how to guide those in the experience in a way that brings safety, comfort, insight, and stabilization. If you have the opportunity to learn from or be guided by Elizabeth in this lifetime, you are among the fortunate few to be imparted spiritual wisdom that is truly life changing!”

Nicole Piland, Ph.D., LMFT

Family Therapy Clinic Director, Associate Professor of Practice

Texas Tech University

"My husband and I feel very fortunate that we found Dr. Katrina Michelle and her partner John to accompany us on our first journey. We found Katrina to be very kind and knowledgeable from our first phone call with her. She was very thorough in educating us for the first journey, suggesting various ways to prepare for this special experience. Our therapist asked to be involved in the weekend, and Katrina was open to that request. Our therapist joined us for dinner on Friday night. I was glad to see how well they got along. Our journey took place on Saturday, and our therapist rejoined us for breakfast on Sunday as part of the integration. Katrina and John were gracious throughout.”

Elizabeth spoke to medical students at Texas Tech University regarding spiritual wellness at the end of life, and with mental health professionals about spiritual emergence and emergency experiences. In each presentation, I was highly impressed with her knowledge and first-hand experience of the spiritual realms and her courage and ability to address the scientific mind with candor and compassion.“

Tom McGovern, Ph.D., EDD, LPC, LMFT, LCDC

Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry,

Founding Director of the Center for Ethics, Humanities, and Spirituality

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine

"Thank you, Katrina, for the amazing work you have done for me. After going through your process, I feel like I have a new lease on life. My depression, anxiety, and OCD are nearly gone. This allowed me to open a new chapter, and I wouldn’t be able to do it without the guidance and support you provided. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to go through your process. If anyone wants to contact me about my journey, please give them my number.”

Shaun

“It's hard to encapsulate the significance of the work with Elizabeth into a short review. My life, my work, my time, how I express myself, it's all connected now. The true part of me has been there the whole time. It was just covered up with such an immense pressure of pain that I was so blocked I couldn't move. But I came to the point that I could no longer ignore and override it. Dropping into the honesty is a powerful process, and it took powerful guidance to help me get to the other side. Elizabeth helped me walk that path. I am deeply humbled and forever grateful to have had this opportunity to experience such a foundational transformation."
